Alexandra and Anwar Wedding

My first wedding as a photographer in London was a perfect cultural mix as only London can do. Blending German, Bengali, English, French, Portuguese and, why not, a Quebecer to capture everything? The ceremony took place at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in the City of Westminster. The guests were transported to the location of the reception, in Canary Wharf, by a old red bus, typical of London. The plans for the pictures were changed by the  cold, the hail and the rain. Finally, in the late afternoon, the sun decided to show up just before sunset. We were now overlooking the tower of london and the City. There we had the chance to take pictures of the newlyweds. With the Shard and the famous Gherkin (Swiss Re Building) in the background, we will not complain!

Mon premier mariage en tant que photographe à Londres fût un mixte culturel parfaitement londonien. Mélangeant allemands, bengalis, anglais, français, portugais et, pourquoi pas, une québécoise pour immortaliser le tout? C’est au Old Marylebone Town Hall dans la City de Westminster que la cérémonie a eu lieu. C’est ensuite dans un vieil autobus rouge, typiquement londonien, que les invités sont transportés vers le lieu du repas, dans Canary Wharf. La température fait des siennes, le froid, la grêle et la pluie changent un peu les plans photos. C’est finalement en fin de journée, juste avant son couchée que le soleil s’est décidé enfin à se montrer. Nous surplombions la tour de Londres et la City pour faire les photos des nouveaux mariés. Avec le Shard et le fameux cornichon (Swiss Re Building) en arrière-plan, on ne se plaindra pas!
